Details

A typical ignition coil contains two sets of coils: the primary coil and the secondary coil. The primary coil is made of thicker enameled wire, usually wound with about 200-500 turns of wire that is approximately 0.5-1 mm in diameter; the secondary coil is made of thinner enameled wire, usually wound with about 15,000-25,000 turns of wire that is approximately 0.1 mm in diameter. One end of the primary coil is connected to the low-voltage power supply (+) in the vehicle, while the other end is connected to the switch device (circuit breaker). One end of the secondary coil is connected to the primary coil, and the other end is connected to the high-voltage output terminal to output high voltage.
